My final Louisiania Band
"Joss"
was the band that Dee and I really felt was going to break through to
the next level. We had all the right connections, great players, a bluesy
sound that we felt really good about, and some influential people behind
us. For awhile things went well, but as in previous bands, we never could
lock into the right bass player. The band went thru several lineups, and
finally ended up with our best sounding combination, with Sid and John
from "One For the Road" doing the drum and keyboard work. With
this lineup we did showcases in Texas, got paired with acts such as the
Pointer Sisters, and kept working on our own material as well. But once
again, with the departure of our third bass player, we called it quits,
and I basically retired from the "quest". I moved to Florida,
where I've been ever since, splitting time between playing in primarily
cover bands, and working on my own material, which you can find on the
discography page.
